With concerns cataracts, no specific advice can be given. When there is an indication, we should intervene at the right time to avoid any difficulties that may be caused during the surgery of a mature cataract.

However, given that solar radiation may be linked to the pathogenesis of cataract, it is advisable that we protect our eyes from the sun, from a very young age, by using appropriate sunglasses, ie those that absorb the sun's harmful UV and high energy rays.

Finally, we would like to mention that cataract surgery is the most common and most successful procedure throughout the entire Medical Science field.
