Watch the video

In the case of membrane (capsule) clouding, which we leave in order to place the intraocular lens after cataract removal, which is named secondary cataract, vision can be considerably and progressively reduced. In this case, we use a special laser beam that breaks painlessly breaks the cloudy membrane and restores the reduction in vision that we had after the cataract surgery. This occurs to approximately 10% of patients that underwent cataract surgery. The surgery can be performed in the practice without requiring hospitalization.
