Dermoid cysts

Dermoid cysts are benign tumors of unknown causality containing tissue associated with the skin.

They can be found anywhere on the body but usually appear around the eyes or even on them. They generally do not affect vision and just create aesthetic problems.

Treatment is surgical and depends on symptoms and the position of the bladder.

Dermoid cysts which are found in the cavity around the eye are best removed because they can fracture and cause inflammation.
